IBEC Senior Researcher Eduard Torrents participated in a conference to mark the  National Day for Cystic Fibrosis last Wednesday 25 April.  This event, which took place at the Spanish Society of Pneumology and Thoracic Surgery (SEPAR), also included the official presentation of funds from the Associació Catalana de Fibrosis Quística (Catalan Association of Cystic Fibrosis) to research groups specializing in the disease.

In their coverage of the Fira en Directe at La Pedrera yesterday, Barcelona TV chose to focus on IBEC. The reporter interviewed PhD student Xavier Giralt for several minutes about the robotics activities and demonstrations on the IBEC stand.

On 24-26 April, La Pedrera will hold the tenth edition of the annual "Recerca en directe" science fair, and IBEC's Robotics research group will take part in it with the activity 'Relating to Robots', where participants will be able to perform a teleoperation with a robot and to control a robotic hand by contracting their own muscles.
