The The Biosensors for Bioengineering Group group at the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) is looking for a laboratory technician to work on the development of radiofrequency coils for magnetic resonance to study metabolism on tissue engineered organ-on-a-chip systems.
The contract will be within the framework of the EU FET Open project “Benchtop NMR spectrometer for lab-on-a-chip” (https://blocproject.eu), whose objective is the development of non-invasive assays based on hyperpolarized magnetic resonance (MR) to study real-time metabolism on tissue engineered organ-on-a-chip systems.
Main tasks and responsibilities / The successful candidate will develop research involving:
- Development of radiofrequency coils
- Implementation of NMR protocols
- Collaborate on the development of novel biosensing and NMR methods
Requirements for candidates:
- Degree and Master on Physics, electrical engineering, RF engineering
- Multidisciplinary qualifications and/or knowledge on biosensors and spectroscopic techniques (specifically on NMR) will be a plus.
- Competencies and skills: Excellent communication and teamworking skills, proactivity, commitment, critical and analytical thinking
- High level of English
- Programming experience (C++, Matlab or Python)
- International Experience
- Experience in scientific writing (papers)

- Working conditions:
- Full time contract. Competitive salary/ Salary will be commensurate with academic level and experience.
