Daniel Navajas received his Ph.D. degree in physics from the University of Barcelona in 1980. He is Professor of Physiology and Director of the Department of Physiological Sciences – I at the School of Medicine of the University of Barcelona (UB). He is coordinator of the Nanobiotechnology Area of the Institute for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (UB). He investigates cellular and respiratory biomechanics with the aim of improving the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory diseases.
