The article is one of five projects about organoids that comprise CORDIS’ latest ‘Results Pack‘ on the subject, which reviews the advances in stem cell technology and bioengineering that have meant that scientists are now able to artificially grow a mass of cells into organoids with similar properties to organs, and showcases the funded projects that share this aim.

COMIET’s aim is to engineer epithelial tissue models that mimic the physiological characteristics found in the human intestine.
