Second edition of BIYSC begins

From July 10th to 21st, 100 students aged between 16 and 18 from many different countries will enjoy BIYSC’s programme, which enables them to carry out mini research projects at the participating centres, as well as offering lectures from leading scientists, debates, discussions, and many social activities.

IBEC will receive those students who are taking part in the “Instructive Biomaterials for Regenerative Medicine” project, coordinated by Biomaterials for Regenerative Therapies members Soledad Pérez and Jesús Ordoño. The project will help the students understand the basis of regenerative medicine and to find out about developing of target-specific biomaterial scaffolding systems.

IBEC’s project is one of ten being offered by research centres in the area, which include fellow BIST members IRB, CRG, ICFO, IFAE, and ICIQ, as well as Paul Verschure’s SPECS group, which joined IBEC at the beginning of the month.
