Postdoc at the Research Group Molecular and Cellular Neurobiotechnology

Main tasks and responsibilities / The successful candidate will develop research involving:

• In vitro neuronal and glial cell culture techniques and soft lithography fabrication
• Viral production (AAV) of GECI indicators
• Time lapse capture and analysis of neuronal and astroglial activity in vitro
• In vivo stereotaxic inoculations of recombinant Tau proteins
• Functional, biochemical and histological evaluation of Tau spreading in inoculated mice

Requirements for candidates:

• Degree and Master on any field on Biology or Neurociences
• Knowledge on Matlab (specifically on Calcium analysis) in vitro.
• Experience in stereotaxic procedures using living mice
• Competencies and skills: Communication, Teamwork, Proactivity, Commitment, Collegiality, Integrity, Critical and Analytical thinking
• High level of English

o Full time 1-year contract. Very competitive salary/ Salary will be commensurate with academic level and experience.

The Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia, IBEC is an interdisciplinary research center focused on Bioengineering and Nanomedicine based in Barcelona.
